March 21, 2009: London, Britain. Labour Party MP Shahid Malik has predicted the total Islamification of Britain and a Muslim prime minister, “Allah willing”, within the next thirty years.
The remarks were made at the October 2008 “Global Peace and Unity” conference held at the Excel London centre, but were deliberately withheld from the video coverage released of that event.
The video speech in which Mr Malik made his remarks has now been released on the internet — nearly five months after the event.
The suppression of the video was clearly designed to try and limit the damage to the ruling Tory and Labour elite, whose immigration policies have led to the situation where a Muslim cabinet minister can confidently predict the total Islamification of this nation.
In his speech, Mr Malik said that he was “proud of the achievements of the Muslims of this country since 1997.”
Referring to Muslim members of the British parliament, himself included, Mr Malik went on to say that: “In 1997 we got our first Muslim MP. In 2001 we had two Muslim MPs. In 2005 we had four Muslim MPs. In ša Allah, in 2009 (or) 2010 we’ll have eight or ten Muslim MPs. In 2014 we’ll have 16 Muslim MPs. At this rate the whole parliament will be Muslim.”
Mr Malik then realised that he had let the cat out of the bag by being too honest, and in an embarrassed tone, he backtracked slightly, saying that was not his intention “in case any members of the press are present.”
The crowd showed no signs of reacting to his remark, and, filled with confidence, he then resumed an explanation of how Britain is to be totally Islamified.
“I am confident, as Britain’s first Muslim minister, that, in ša Allah, in the next thirty years or so, we’ll see a prime minister who happens to share my faith,” Mr Malik said, in reference to the growing Third World population and immigration figures.
The people of Britain cannot say that they have not been warned.
March 21, 2009: Nottingham, Britain. The postmaster who banned customers who can’t speak English from his branch today faced calls for him to be sacked from angry local Muslims.
Sri Lankan-born Deva Kumarasiri introduced the ban this week because he believes all immigrants in Britain should learn the language and take pride in the new homeland.
Mr Kumarasiri, who runs Sneinton Boulevard Post Office in inner-city Nottingham, moved here 18 years ago and says everyone should embrace British culture.
But the chairman of the local Mosque confirmed that a petition was circulating among Muslim residents calling for Mr Kumarasiri to go.
Aurangzeb Kahn said: ‘There has been concern that people can be denied Post Office services because they can’t speak English.
‘There is a strong feeling among some local people that this is wrong.
‘A single employee should not have the right to make that decision, especially if he is an employee of what is a public facility provided by the Government.’
Mr Kahn confirmed that local Muslims have started a petition calling for Mr Kumarasiri’s dismissal but stressed the move had no connection with his Mosque,
He added that the Mosque wanted to investigate the issue moire fully before making any further comment.
The controversial ban was a major talking point among many Muslims attending prayers today in an area of Nottingham with a large Urdu-speaking Pakistani community.
One man, who refused to be named, said: ‘There is a lot of anger about this.
‘We understand his point but it can take years to learn English and there are some elderly people who are too old to learn.
‘A lot of people think he is wrong and want him gone.’
Mr Kumarasiri, who was inundated with cards and messages of support from across the UK said: ‘I don’t expect everyone to agree with me.
‘It was inevitable that those who don’t want to be fully integrated into this country would do something like this.
‘For me it proves that there are elements out there who have no intention of ever [becoming] integrated.
‘But I’ve had dozens of letters, cards and phone calls all supporting my stand.
‘I’m really pleased with some of the letters which are from immigrants who came here without a word of English but taught themselves the language because they are determined to be British.’
A steady stream of well-wishers have also travelled to the 40-year-old father-of-two’s post office to voice their support.
Police have also been keeping a discreet eye on the premises to ensure he did not attract the wrong sort of attention from people who may resent his new found celebrity status.
Mr Kumarasiri added that he understood that his employers, Newrose Personnel Ltd, had discussed his ban but he had heard nothing from them about his future.
Yesterday a spokesman for the employment agency refused to comment and referred all calls to the Post Office.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: ‘Post Office branches are a vital part of all communities and are open to all customers.
‘We are taking steps to ensure that this happens at Sneinton Boulevard Post Office.’
Meanwhile the Liberal Democrats distanced the party from Mr Kumarasiri, who claims to be a Lib Dem member on his local Gedling Borough Council.
A spokesman for the party said: ‘Mr Kumarasiri has not been a party member since October 2007 when his membership lapsed.’March 21, 2009: Toronto, Canada. Outspoken anti-war MP George Galloway has vowed to fight an ‘outrageous decision’ to ban him from Canada on the grounds of national security. Mr Galloway said the ban was ‘not something I’m prepared to accept’ and pledged to use all means at his disposal to challenge the ruling
But a spokesman for Canada’s immigration minister Jason Kenney insisted the decision, taken by border security officials, would not be overturned for a ‘infandous* street-corner Cromwell
(*‘infandous: too odious to be expressed or mentioned).
Mr Galloway was due to give a speech in Toronto on March 30 but has been deemed ‘inadmissible’ to Canada under section 34(1) of the country’s immigration act.
Mr Kenney’s spokesman Alykhan Velshi said the act was designed to protect Canadians from people who fund, support or engage in terrorism.
The minister has the right to issue special exemption permits but will not do so in Mr Galloway’s case.
Mr Velshi said: ‘We’re going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to this infandous street-corner Cromwell who actually brags about giving ‘financial support’ to Hamas, a terrorist organisation banned in Canada.
‘I’m sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won’t be one of them.’
March 21, 2009: Burnley, Britain. A man who was convicted for his part in the execution-style killing of a small-time drug dealer in 2000 must serve at least 16 years behind bars, a High Court judge has ruled. Imtiaz Hussain, now 30, was sentenced to life imprisonment in May 2001 after being found guilty at Preston Crown Court of the murder of Iain McKay in a car park in Netherwood Road, Burnley.
Mr Justice Davis said: “This was a very serious case indeed, involving a planned gangland murder – the background being drugs supply – and the use of a gun, in which Hussain played a significant role.”
The body of 31-year-old Mr McKay, also from Burnley, was found at the entrance to the car park in the early hours of Sunday, October 1st, 2000. Hussain, who owed Mr McKay money, claimed he was coerced by others to arrange for Mr McKay to be at the car park and somebody else pulled the trigger.
March 21, 2009: Tehran, Iran.Reporters Without Borders said today it was deeply shocked at the death in a Tehran prison of blogger Omidreza Mirsayafi and called for the immediate opening of an investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy.
His lawyer, Mohamed Ali Dadkhah, was informed of the blogger’s death by a doctor, Hesem Firozi, who is himself imprisoned. The young blogger had been depressed and no longer able to cope with prison conditions.
The doctor said, “The death of this young blogger is entirely due to a failure to provide assistance.” Omidreza Mirsayafi had been devastated at the prison authorities’ refusal to allow him permission to leave the prison. ”We hold the Iranian authorities entirely responsible for the death of Omidreza Mirsayafi.
He was unfairly arrested and they failed to provide him with the necessary medical care”, the worldwide press freedom organisation said. “His death is a sad reminder of the fact that the Iranian regime is one of the harshest in the world for journalists and bloggers.
We call for the setting up of an independent commission to determine this young man’s cause of death.” The blogger was summoned to Tehran’s revolutionary court for interrogation on 7 February 2009. At the end of the questioning, he was placed in detention. To this date, his lawyers have still not received any notice of sentence from the court. The blogger was first arrested on 22 April 2008 and then released after 41 days in custody on payment of bail of 100 million tomans (72,000 euros).
He was tried on 2 November under Articles 500 and 514 of the criminal code under which “anyone who insults the Supreme Guide Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, or the country’s leaders, is liable for six months to two years in prison (Art 514) and “anyone making propaganda against the state is liable to three months to one year in prison (Art. 500). Most of the articles on Mirsayafi’s blog were about traditional Persian music and about culture.
After his conviction, he told Reporters Without Borders, “I am a cultural and not a political blogger. Of all the articles I have posted online, only two or three were satirical. I did not mean to insult anyone.”
His blog, Rooznegaar, is no longer accessible. In a recent email to Reporters Without Borders, Mirsayafi spoke about his distress: “I am worried. The problem is not my sentence of two years in prison. But I am a sensitive person. I will not have the energy to live in prison. I want everything to be like it was before. I want to resume my normal life and continue my studies.”March 21, 2009: Dubai, UAE. Playing loud music, dancing, nudity, kissing and even holding hands in public is considered inapproppriate behaviour under new guidelines laid down by the authorities of Dubai, reports say. Arabic-language daily Al Emarat Al-Youm said the Dubai Executive Council had urged residents of Dubai, where foreigners make up more than 80 per cent of the population, to respect the customs of the Muslim majority country and avoid inappropriate behaviour
The rules, which apply to all public places, include a ban on all forms of nudity, playing music loudly and dancing, exchange of kisses between men and women — and even on unmarried couples holding hands.The front-page newspaper story said Dubai’s Executive Office, which directs the emirate’s ambitious development plans, issued the guidelines for “all citizens, residents and visitors … while in the emirate … to respect its culture and values.”
According to the daily, “pants and skirts are to be of an appropriate length” and “clothing cannot be tight or transparent” with visible body parts. On the beaches “appropriate swimwear, acceptable to the culture of the society and its values” must be worn.
Dubai’s indigenous population fears the city’s culture is tipping in favour of foreigners. Emiratis account to up to 20 per cent of a population dominated by Asian migrant workers, Western expats and sun-seeking tourists.
Some local leaders have demanded the government act to preserve religious values and tribal traditions.
After the sex-on-the-beach trial, the prominent Jumeirah Group five-star hotel chain issued an advisory for Western tourists.
It cautioned guests that drunken behavior in public is punished severely and recommended tourists be discreet with public displays of affection.

Tourists who use Dubai’s beaches run the risk of contracting serious illnesses – including typhoid and hepatitis – as the Middle Eastern resort struggles to combat a tidal wave of illegally dumped sewage, doctors have warned.
Authorities in the emirate have come under fire from hoteliers and business owners for failing to address the problem, which is blighting beaches in the upmarket Jumeirah district, where most tourists stay.
Human waste from Dubai’s 1.3m inhabitants is collected daily from thousands of septic tanks across the city and driven by hundreds of tankers to the emirate’s only sewage treatment plant, in the desert at Al-Awir.
At least, that’s what should happen. In reality, the effluent is being illegally dumped into storm drains or hidden behind dunes in the desert by tanker drivers unwilling to join the 10-hour queues at the plant.
Last week, Jumeirah’s sailing club was forced to reschedule a regatta after tests showed dangerous levels of faecal contamination in the water. Keith Mutch, manager of the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, said the situation was “disgusting”.
“It’s happening every day,” he said. “Once again, the club and the harbour smell like a sewage farm. The harbour is black and stinks, and the public beach is swamped with sewage and black sludge. I have again stopped all sailing and swimming on the beach.”
Dubai has threatened to deport any driver found pouring sewage into storm drains, but worried citizens say that the problem ofE coli contamination will remain long after the dumping is stopped.
“Because rain storms are so infrequent, the drains will remain contaminated for many months to come,” said expat Thomas Aldredge. “Considering the hot weather, there are many diseases that could begin to flourish, including cholera. On October 3, 1993 Task Force Ranger raided the Olympic Hotel in Mogadishu to search for Aidid. This led to a seventeen-hour battle in which eighteen U.S. soldiers were killed and eighty-four were wounded. Bodies of dead American soldiers were dragged through the streets of Mogadishu.
The corpses of five soldiers — either from the Somali government army or their Ethiopian allies — were desecrated during some of the worst clashes in the lawless capital since the interim government took over in December, witnesses said.
In one place, men dragged two semi-naked corpses by the feet while members of a crowd chanting “God is Great” kicked and pelted them with stones, a Reuters reporter said.

Mohamed Hadfi, 31, tore out his 23-year-old wife Samira Bari’s eyes following a heated argument in their apartment in the southern French city of Nimes in July 2003 after she refused to have sex with him.
Bari, who had demanded a divorce before the attack, was permanently blinded.
Hadfi, a Moroccan, initially fled to Germany. He was arrested and sent back to France, where he was indicted for “acts of torture and barbarity leading to a permanent disability”.
Prosecutor Dominique Tourette demanded that he be sentenced to 30 years in prison, two-thirds of which must be served in full, calling the defendant a “diabolic torturer”.
Once his sentence is served, Hadfi will be deported and barred from ever returning to France.
His lawyer Jean-Pierre Cabanes meanwhile insisted there were extenuating circumstances.

The Pattani United Liberation Organization claimed responsibility. They were demanding that four fellow terrorists arrested on suspicion of setting fire to local schools be released from custody – a move which confirmed their complicity.Military intelligence officers said that the Pattani United Liberation Organization and the New Pattani United Liberation Organization had cooperated in a series of terrorist attacks throughout Thailand.
Thai authorities alleged that their assaults were designed to attract funding from OPEC Muslims.Founded in 1968, the Pattani United Liberation Organization sought to separate Thailand’s predominately Muslim southern provinces from the rest of the country. They, like most all Islamic terrorists, wanted to establish an Islamic state based upon Sharia Law.
Southern resistance to Thai rule had a long history, but PULO itself did not emerge as a leading Islamic terrorist group until the 1970s.
The Pattani United Liberation Organization fought alongside several other jihadist groups. Their Islamic assault on Thailand was most severe in the 1970s. It began to fade in the 1980s, and was nearly gone by the mid-1990s.
It has since reemerged. Starting in 2001, a plethora of bombings and shootings once again terrorized Thailand’s southern provinces. More than 800 people were killed in the name of Allah and Islam during this time.
In July 2005, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra reserved emergency powers to help combat the rise of the Muslim menace.PULO’s most common tactics were drive-by shootings and bombings. Their attacks focused on public buildings, such as schools and police stations, and also on public officials.
The most serious incident of the recent revolt occurred in October of 2004, when protests broke out after six Muslim men were arrested for providing the terrorists with weapons. This current religious revival of terrorism in Thailand now includes arson and more sophisticated bombings.
